The Effects of a Shadowing Activity Using Movies on Korean EFL College Learners’ Speaking Skills and Their Affective Attitudes

چکیده

The present study investigated the effects of a shadowing activity using movies on Korean EFL college students’ speaking skills and their affective attitudes. Over semester, total 138 students participated in they were assigned to an experimental group (n = 71) control 67). According language proficiency, participants advanced, intermediate, beginner-level groups. all groups engaged once week while traditional activity. To collect data, both 1) pre- post-speaking tests 2) post-questionnaires attitudes conducted. results showed that is more effective than terms increasing proficiency. In addition, there was statistically significant improvement proficiency intermediate no difference advanced level group’s Furthermore, significantly improved confidence, interest, motivation group.
